Route 6 - South of the M8 Edinburgh-Glasgow Corridor
Shotts - Davidson Bros
From Edinburgh follow M8 Glasgow to Junction 5 Shotts (check out Harthill services just before exit) and follow B717 to Shotts. After controlled narrow road and before roundabout turn left and up the hill past leisure centre. Depot in mill at top of road.
Shotts - SNT
Go past Davidson main gate and SNT on right opposite second gate. Only vehicle based here is the 8w tipper - all others are based at Uddingston (See route 1 Bothwell).
Forth - Tennant
Return to B717, pass through roundabout and shortly after, turn left on B7010 Fauldhouse. Remain on this road for about 2 miles and cross over main A71 and follow Forth. On entering village turn left on A706. Depot on left behind 'Roccos Chicken Bar'.
Carstairs Junction - A. Campbell
Return back down and follow A706 for about 4 miles to its junction with A721 and turn left. Go past A701 Carstairs. After about a mile turn right for State Hospital. After crossing railway bridge turn left at Church and War Memorial. Depot on right.
Carnworth - B&L Transport
From Campbell return to A721 , past State Hospital, turn right and follow Carnworth. At traffic lights in town centre turn right onto B7016 Biggar. After about a mile, at two disused railway bridge pillars, turn left into old station yard.
Carluke - R. Thomson
From B&L return to A721, turn left and follow for about 9 miles. Depot on right just before High School, on outskirts of town.
Carluke - D. Thompson
From R. Thomson continue on A721 through town to join A73. Turn right, follow to next roundabout and follow track into Whiteshaws IE. Depot at top on left in Whiteshaws Garage. Turn left into housing estate. At top of road turn right and follow to mini roundabout.
Newhouse - W.H. Malcolm
Return to and continue on A73 through Newmains for about four miles to roundabout junction with A775 Holytown, just before M8 Jct 6, and turn left. Pass Newhouse Inn, go through roundabout and depot on right.
Eurocentral - Currie European
From WHM turn right and continue on A775 for a few hundred yards then turn right into Newhouse IE. At roundabout turn left then straight ahead into Eurocentral. At next roundabout turn left into Coddington Crescent. Depot on right, next to DHL.
Eurocentral - ESL
Continue on down Coddington Crescent then turn left into Brittain Way (Wincanton Depot). This is a no-go area but to view depot carry on to end of building and turn left into cul-de-sac. Go to turning circle at end. View from public footpath above and behind depot. (Binoculars will help the not so good sighted!)
To return to M8 go back to Coddington Crescent. Turn left, then left again to end of road and follow signs for A8/M8.
